Pistachio Churchkhela

Although known as a Georgian sweet, churchkhela is best made in Kahramanmaras Province of Turkey. Made by dipping a string with pistachio kernels into grape molasses, sugar and starch mixture, this sausage-shaped candy is hung out to dry and cut into pieces and enjoyed as a gummi-like dessert. You can either have a thicker one with more mixture coated or you can have it thinner with more pistachios and less grape molasses and starch mixture. Try it just once and you'll be an addict!
