Maras Walnut Churchkhela - Natural (a.k.a. Köme/Orjik)
Although known as a Georgian sweet, churchkhela is best made in Kahramanmaras Province of Turkey. Made by dipping a string with walnut pieces into grape molasses, which is made from natural grapes of this region, and starch mixture, this sausage-shaped candy is hung out to dry and cut into pieces and enjoyed as a gummi-like dessert.
