Although known as a Georgian sweet, churchkhela is best made in Kahramanmaras Province of Turkey. Made by dipping a string with walnut pieces into carob molasses, sugar and starch mixture, this sausage-shaped candy is hung out to dry and cut into pieces and enjoyed as a gummi-like dessert. This is a special kind that you won't find anywhere else.
