Although known as a Georgian sweet, churchkhela is best made in Kahramanmaras Province of Turkey. Made by dipping a string with walnut, pistachio or almond pieces into the mixture of grape molasses, white sugar and starch, this sausage-shaped candy is then hung out to dry and cut into pieces and lastly enjoyed as a gummi-like dessert.
