Turkish delight or lokum is a Turkish traditional confection which is like a jelly candy. It has a soft, elastic texture and is generally dusted with icing sugar or coconut. Turkish delight is in the shape of a cube or a finger. It is flavoured with different fruit aromas mostly and with milk aroma sometimes. It usually consists of pistachios or hazelnuts. Premium varieties are coated with pistachios, rose petals or dried Persian barberries and they have got various fresh nuts in them.
